GPAs are worthless: Google Changes Hiring Practices

Did you ever think you had zero chance at getting a job at Google? No Ivy league 3.9 GPA. No Stanford PHD. No MIT cum laude. No chance with Google.

Well apparently the times they are a changing. Based on actual data, Google has determined that GPAs are a poor measure of job performance. Also, they are getting rid of the crazy questions like how many golf balls would fit in a bus. Turns out, brainteaser questions only make the questioner feel smart. They are useless for screening folks. According to the article, as many as 14% of Google team members have no degree at all.

A great article which is definitely worth the read.
