The first Ender's Game trailer is in the wild. Check out the links and a brief story at SlashGear.
For those of you that don't know, Ender's Game is a great science fiction short story, and then novel, written by Orson Scott Card. The basic premise is the human race is on the brink of extinction after losing several wars with a seemingly unstoppable insectoid race. In an attempt to save itself, humanity puts all their resources behind a program to find the next Alexander, Julius Caesar, or Genghis Khan. The story follows young Andrew "Ender" Wiggin and his troubles and travails at battle school.
The trailer looks awesome to me. But some are already panning the film because it doesn't look "emotional enough". Please people. About 95% of the public will never read the novel and the movie will succeed or fail on its own merits. If the movie is based on the short story, it should make a fine 2 hour movie.
