37 Signals has this post up today, after a visit by Jeff Bezos. The main take away, people who are often right are willing to change their mind.
After reading the post, I think it goes a bit deeper than that. People who are usually right are always looking to improve things. It is about not settling for the status quo. Just because something worked this year, doesn't mean it will work forever. In fact, not anticipating change usually results in bad outcomes.
Of course, never making a decision while waiting for the perfect solution is also bad. So some balance must be applied.
